Mom’s Keeper.

IMG_3621-0.JPG

I’d nowhere to go
While my peace had been plundered
For my sake—meddled
When all I needed was strength
Thinking it had come from you

Time proved a good friend
With my emotions hiding
Only survival
Came about a gleam of light
I had prayed for in tumult

Heavy glazed on smile
Was welcomed in my circle
Comprised of myself
My fears, the pain, and hurting
Bundled up in one cocoon

Begging for anew
Golden indentures painted
Dejections away
I’m ready for you, pending
You’ve left your meloncholy

We can float along
Barely touching fingertips
Pipeline of metal
I know now you won’t burn me
With the secrets that you’ve shared
